DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRONICS AND COMMUNICATION
Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering was established in the year 1999 which is NBA Accredited and also Affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum, Approved by AICTE, New Delhi (Recognized by the Government of Karnataka). The Department offers an Under Graduate program in Electronics and Communication Engineering, PG program in Digital Electronics and Communication ,VLSI design and Embedded Systems and Signal Processing. The department possesses a core group of well trained, competent and highly motivated faculty and staff members who have imbibed and adopted some of the best academic practices being followed in India and abroad.
The Department has signed MOUs with various organizations to provide live projects for UG & PG final year students in the field of Robotics, Communication, Raspberi-PI, VLSI and Embedded Systems. Industrial visits, workshops and mini-projects for students are also encouraged by the department in various sectors. Every semester students are taken out for industrial visits to know about the latest trends and Technologies. To name a few, visits made on frequent basis to organizations like ISRO, Radel Electronics, MRO Tech, BHEL, etc. The Alumnae of the department are well-placed in reputed organizations like INFOSYS,GE, WIPRO, ADP-Wilco & Polaris, L&T, Mphasis, Tech-Mahindra, Westline etc.

At the end of the Electronics and Communication Engineering program, Graduates will be able to:
Develop the models in analog and digital circuits, communication systems, control and signal processing systems using acquired knowledge of basic skills and modern design tools
Analyze the interdisciplinary problems effectively, either individually or as part of a team with managerial skills, professional behavior and ethics for developing innovative sustainable solutions with environmental concerns
UG - ELECTRONICS AND COMMUNICATION
The ECE department is indeed fortunate to have an excellent team of faculty members and is committed towards Quality Technical Education with patience, hard work, skill and sincerity. The department has well-equipped laboratories to cater to the needs of the VTU curriculum effectively. These laboratories have been meticulously planned and all these laboratories have state-of-the-art equipment. Students pursuing BE in ECE have a full and flexible undergraduate curriculum. Numerous streams can be tailored to fit every individual's interests, skills and career goals.
Circuit Designer, PCB Designer, Circuit testing Engineer, Network Engineer, Communication Engineer, Signal Analyst, signal testing, Automation Engineer, Automotive Engineer, Robotics Engineer, Chip Designer, software and Hardware Engineer.
Students who have completed 10+2 with good marks in academics. CET or COMED-K exams to be compulsory taken.
B.E degree extends over a period of four academic years.
